GENERAL
AP TESTING (May7-18) ~ Same Attendance Procedures Apply (as stated on your AP Test form)
This is a reminder that the Attendance Procedures are the same as any other day of the year.
For this 2-week period, Students are coded for periods A-4 or 3-6 depending on their pre-assigned test(s).
ALL students are still required to attend periods 5/6 or A/1/2, depending on their test schedule.
This means that arriving late (for periods 5 & 6) requires student check-in with the Attendance Office. If you are scheduled to leave for the later test period, you are already coded to leave at brunch (since you should be holding the AP form with a parent signature). The Attendance Office receives a daily fax (by 730am) of students who have not checked into the Willow Creek Center at the required time.
Following the Attendance Rules (click here) will eliminate any misunderstanding and make life easier for everyone. And, of course, all students’ real-time attendance can be viewed in HomeLink.

BIKE-TO-SCHOOL DAY ~ Fri, May 18
Attention all students! Northgate will be hosting our first annual Bike-to-School Day!
Bike to school and encourage your friends to do the same! There will be free bike safety checks at lunch and fun bike-related games.

Don’t miss the last concert of the school year for NHS Instrumental Music on May 21st at 7:00pm in the beautiful Lesher Center Hoffman Theatre. The Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Concert Band will perform. You will be impressed!

GIRL’S TENNIS MEETING ~ May18, Fri, 1p ~ Girls locker room
For anyone interested in playing girls tennis next fall. Returning players and new interested players should attend.
LACROSSE SKIRTS & SHIRTS GAME
The Annual Lacrosse Skirts & Shirts game will be played on Saturday, May 19th starting at 1:00pm to 3:00pm at our Sports Complex. The Women's LAX Teams will play against the Men's LAX Teams. It is a fun event, so please come out and join us in supporting our LAX players. Refreshments will be served after the game. GO BRONCOS 5.18

Men's Volleyball - NCS bound:
Northgate's men's volleyball team has received the #6 seed for the upcoming North Coast Section playoffs for division 2 high schools. Led by Coach Cutaia, the Broncos will travel to #3 Acalanes on Friday, May 18th and take on the Dons. Match starts at 7:00pm.
Please note: NCS playoffs charge for admission and tickets will be sold at the door by Acalanes HS.

End of year awards - Gold Block N and 700 Point Club:
Gold Block N Award:
In order to be eligible to win a Northgate High School Gold Block N Award, a student-athlete must play six seasons of varsity sports, AND participate in three different varsity sports. The minimum number of points a Gold Block N Award winner will have is 600, all of which must be earned at the varsity level. For example a student-athlete who participates in two years of Varsity Football, two years of Varsity Wrestling, and two years of Varsity Baseball is eligible to win this award.
700 Point Club:
In order to become a member of the Northgate High School 700 Club a student-athlete must participate in seven seasons of varsity sports. 700 points must be earned at the varsity level. For example, an athlete who plays four years of Varsity Tennis and three years of Varsity Cross Country will be eligible for the 700 Club.

Cap & Gown Pick-up ~ Monday May 21 during brunch and lunch in the forum. THIS IS THE ONLY PICK-UP DAY so all seniors must pick up their cap and gown at this time.
Transcript Charges- The list of students who owe Transcript charges at the College/Career Center is posted on the Treasurer’s window and at the Registrar’s office. Please pay these fees at the Treasurer’s office ASAP to eliminate the frustration of long lines the last week of school. All fines/fees must be paid in order to receive your graduation certificate.

JUNIOR CLASS CAR WASH
There will be a car wash for the Junior Class on Saturday, May 19. The car wash will be held at Northgate High School from 10:00am-4:00pm.

On Friday, May 18 the Junior Class will be hosting a Fundraiser at Jalisco’s Gourmet Burritos in the Citrus Shopping Center. Bring a flyer and support the Junior Class!

The PARENT/GUARDIAN can visit the NHS Attendance Office, Mon-Fri, 730am-3p (bring your ID) to pick up your VERIFICATION CODE.
