State Testing

• California English Language Development Test (CELDT)
  The CELDT is a required state test for English language proficiency that must be given to students whose primary language is other than English.

• California High School Exit Examination (CAHSEE)
  Beginning with the Class of 2006, all public school students will be required to pass the CAHSEE to earn a high school diploma.

• Physical Fitness Testing (PFT)
  The PFT is required to be administered to students in grades 5, 7, and 9.

• Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR)
  Each spring, California students in grades 2 through 11 must take a series of tests that comprise the state's STAR program.
