Northgate High School
Principal's Message: November 20, 2009
Hello Northgate Community,
I want to wish all of you a safe and healthy Thanksgiving. I feel very thankful for the opportunity to serve as Principal of Northgate High School. The students, staff, and community of Northgate High School are the finest with whom I have ever associated. Every day at this school first-rate work that challenges and inspires occurs within our concrete walls.
There is not the room nor time to list all the people and programs I am thankful for, but in the spirit of the holiday, I would like to list a few:
- The Northgate Clean Up committee, they have done so much to make this a beautiful place. Shawn Miller and Spalding Ashley deserve special call out as I missed them in my last e-letter!
- Our athletic steering committee led by Kent Caldwell, these people literally saved athletics for our community, and our community who rallied behind the athletic steering committee to raise the funds to save athletics.
- Northgate water polo, men's and women's, women's volleyball, women's golf, women's tennis, and cross country teams, who made it into the Northcoast Section playoffs.
- All of our booster organizations; Northgate Pride, Music Boosters, Athletic Boosters, Dance Boosters and PFC who give so much time and energy to this school.
- The staff and faulty of Northgate High School who bring intelligence, dedication, hard work and commitment to our school every day.
- The parents and students of Northgate High School who provide the intelligence, kindness and beauty that make this a first rate school!
Our students and staff are engaging in powerful teaching and learning at Northgate High School. We are moving forward in every department to improve teaching and learning with the goal to provide rich, rewarding experiences for all students at Northgate High. I appreciate all of your support, and look forward to working together to build on this foundation and make Northgate the school our students deserve!
